The opportunity
Port operations depend on information scattered across radio calls, spreadsheets and separate systems. We explored how a single, calm interface could give supervisors a reliable picture of what is happening now — and what comes next.
Our approach
We mapped the decisions a shift supervisor makes in a day, then designed around them: a live berth timeline, alerts ranked by urgency, and views that stay readable on a tablet in bright outdoor light.
What we designed
- Live berth and vessel timeline
- Alerts ranked by urgency
- High-contrast outdoor mode
- Data sync that tolerates poor connectivity
In a real engagement
A real engagement would begin with field research alongside port staff and integration planning with existing terminal systems.
